Seeds that traveled far

Black history is full of people whose work changed lives in ways they may never have fully seen. Some taught. Some built. Some challenged ideas. Some quietly made space for others to grow.

This year, Seeds That Traveled Far focuses on those stories — individuals whose impact often began as lessons learned and shared in classrooms, churches, homes, and local communities, then reached far beyond their beginnings.

These stories span faith, education, innovation, and global influence, reminding us that meaningful change doesn’t always come with recognition. Often, it starts with showing up, doing the work, and trusting that what you plant will matter.

This series is an invitation to learn, reflect, and take pride in the many ways Black history continues to shape the world we live in today.
